Definitely Day Two – 26/2/18

I know today is day two because my breath stinks, my previous day’s fresh make up is now crusty and flaking, I need matchsticks to keep my eyes open and I am starting to smell.

The flight from Hong Kong to New York was long but perfect as far as long-haul plane travel goes. No bumps, no rough weather, just smooth flying.

Arrived at JFK, immigration was electronic and quick, onto the AirTrain to terminal 7 and now just a four or so hour wait for the others.  New York City is so close…

On arrival at the US immigration I discovered a slight problem with our visas with only a maximum of a 6-month stay given, we have planned to be here for 7.  Hopefully, we can work this out.

Finally, the NYC Gang arrived and it was wonderful to see their friendly faces.  Taxi to the East Village Apartment and then Wow! The apartment is amazing. Very spacious and very New York (or so I think :-).

Quick freshen up and then out around the corner for a delicious Mexican feed at Rosie’s.  A stop at a cozy bar then a little nightcap chatting about the day back at the apartment.

A wonderful start to our holidays.
