Our first job for today was to find a workshop to do an oil change on our RV. After a few phone calls and a visit to a mechanics, we had her all booked in for 9 am tomorrow.
Next, a food shop and essential clothing shop as Noah was beginning to look like a homeless child walking in his broken sandals. We all do look and smell a bit like gipsies…
Onto East Ferry to catch the Petit Passage Ferry across to Tiverton, Long Island. We just missed the 12.30 pm ferry by 5 minutes and were first in line for the next ferry crossing in 1hrs time. It was not hard to wait while watching the beautiful ocean, hoping to see whales.
No whales, however, it was soon time to board the ferry and take the 5-minute journey.
Once we arrived we made the short drive to the Balancing Rock Trail and had a lovely walk to view the Balancing Rock (a vertical volcanic column) and St Mary’s Bay.
Back onto the ferry, a small stop and wander around Whale Cove and then a return to Digby and the Digby Campground. We had thought about staying at the Whale Cove Campground, however, returning to Digby will be an easier option to service the RV in the morning.
Chores and schoolwork and dinner in the motorhome. A quiet evening in.
